"Why Sunday is funday" History of Sunday 😀😀

For us Sunday is funday. This is our favorite day in week. On this day we all get holiday from our office, college and our daily routine. On this day we can break our daily routine chain like 9 to 5 job..

Since childhood we have been posponting many work for Sunday because this the day on which can work without restication.. Sunday meant for us rest, chill, and enjoyment. 

But may be possible that we all not know about the history of Sunday and struggle behind this day. So In this blog let us know about the some Sunday fact. 

According to the International standred organisation (ISO) the Sunday is last day of the week and on this day there is comman holiday. This is approved on 1986 by ISO. 

The reason behind Sunday Holiday

1) Religious : 

There are some religious face behind the Sunday holiday. According to the Hindu methalogi "the week start with Sunday which is the day of Lord " Surya" So the day delicate to his workship."

There is another point of view , according to the chirstain " The God made only six day so seventh day means Sunday for the rest " . So there is Holiday on this day. 

The history of Sunday in India 

During the British rule in India. A large number of mill worker worked for the seven day of week , not get the proper time of lunch and rest and there working hours and wages not fixed. Their situation was very miserable. 

At that time Narayan meghaji lokhande who was social activist belong to maharastra. He understanded the grivances of the labour and run a movement for the right of the labour. 

After a long time struggle he get success on 10 June 1810 east India Company aggreed with him and declared Sunday as holiday for the workers.

Is Sunday really a funday for all

In our society Sunday is not funday for all. There are some section of society for which Sunday as normal day there is no off on Sunday on thier respective professional and fields like solider, police, doctor,person who provide houses base services, the most important those house maker ( house wives) and so on. 

Besides this. In Muslim countries Friday is considered as day of prayer (इबादत) so in some Muslim countries weekly off in Friday in place of  sunday.
